We thank Holm & Laue for this wonderful review at our congress in New Zealand!
Global Dairy Farmer Congress in New Zealand!
We spent a week analysing New Zealand's milk production with 50 participants from all over the world during the Global Dairy Farmer Congress.
Holm & Laue is one of the business partners and our colleague Holger Kruse was also in New Zealand. And what he was able to recognise: Pasture farming in NZ is strictly planned and environmental goals are consistently implemented. For example, ribwort plantain as an additive in the pasture mix seems to actively reduce nitrate leaching from the cows.
Another aha moment was the demonstration of the HALTER transponder system. With this system, the cows are automatically sent to milking or to another pasture via acoustic signals on their collars. Without any human intervention or herding dogs. Very impressive! 👀
Of course, there was no shortage of top-class presentations on the current situation on the world's dairy markets and the popular workshops and solution centres during the exciting week.
Many thanks to the Global Dairy Farmers team for a successful trip. 🤝
